Terms:

A deposit of $600 (six-hundred-dollars) by the buyer to the breeder is required to hold a puppy. The remaining $600 (six-hundred-dollars) is to be paid by the buyer and to the breeder on the pick-up date of the puppy which will be an agreed-upon date near the go home date above of ~8 weeks of age. The breeder will hold the puppy longer than 8 weeks and up to 12 weeks of age if in the best interest of the puppy to go home with the buyer in that timeframe. The additional fee of the puppy’s extended stay with the breeder is $10/day. If the buyer has already put down a deposit and does not want a puppy, a refund of the deposit can be furnished up until 14 days after the deposit has been given to the breeder. The right to the refund of the deposit after the 14 days will be forfeited. All payments must be made in either cash or Venmo.

Health Guarantee:

The breeder releases the puppy to the buyer and certifies that it appears to be in good health and is up to date on age-appropriate immunizations and deworming, as stated in the puppy health chart provided. The buyer must take the puppy to their Veterinarian for a wellness exam, at the buyer’s expense, within 72 hours of the pick-up date of the puppy or this warranty is forfeited. If in the opinion of the buyer’s Veterinarian, there is a problem with the puppy diagnosed within the first year of life, that is or could be life threatening or quality of life impacting, the buyer will obtain and furnish to the breeder a letter from their Veterinarian explaining the diagnosis and the prognosis. If this is the scenario, then the breeder will either give the buyer another puppy from the next available litter or refund the second payment of $600 (six-hundred-dollars) only. The buyer can choose to keep the original puppy purchased or return it to the breeder. The breeder reserves the right to have the puppy re-examined by their preferred Veterinarian at the breeder’s cost. Any condition that is minor, treatable, or will resolve with treatment is not covered in this warranty. The breeder is not held responsible for the cost of Veterinary care once the puppy is released into the buyer’s care. It is the buyer’s responsibility to be able to financially provide for their puppy and pet insurance is highly encouraged to be obtained the day the puppy is picked up to aid with expected and unexpected medical costs. The death, injury, or loss of the puppy due to theft, neglect, or accident will not entitle the breeder to compensate the buyer.

Buyer Responsibility:

The buyer agrees to take excellent care of this puppy; to feed and house it indoors; to keep the puppy leashed when in public, that their environment both inside and outside will remain safe and secure for the puppy (if there is no fence outside then appropriate provisions are taken to ensure the safety and security of the puppy by constant supervision and control by tie out or leash), to give appropriate physical care by daily play and exercise, to give appropriate emotional care by providing basic training and socialization, and commit to a lifelong (~12-15 years) of companionship from the puppy stage through the senior stage. If the buyer neglects these responsibilities, then the breeder reserves the right to repossess the puppy and with no refund to the buyer.

Vaccinations:

Your puppy has been started on vaccinations and this should be continued to keep your puppy healthy. The buyer should have a conversation with your Veterinary Technician or Veterinarian on the recommended vaccines based on your location and the dog’s lifestyle. Heartworm, flea, and tick prevention is strongly recommended to be on all year round and lifelong. It is the buyer’s responsibility to keep all preventative care up to date and not expose this puppy to contagious or harmful diseases that may cause illness or death.

Spay and Neuter Requirements:

This puppy is required to be spayed/neutered after 1 year of age and before 2 years of age. Buyer is required to provide proof to the breeder before the puppy reaches 2 years and 1 month of age of this procedure being performed by a licensed Veterinarian otherwise there will be a $1,200 fine charged to the buyer and payable to the breeder immediately. This puppy is being sold as a companion pet only and will not be used for breeding by plan or by accident.

Note from the breeder: There is new research on the recommended age to spay/neuter your dog. After reviewing the research with Veterinarian colleagues, it is of my opinion that the best timeframe to do this procedure is 2 years of age when the bone growth plates are completely closed. It is of my opinion that there is a reduced risk of injury if you are able to wait to spay/neuter until this time frame.
